Chairman’s Message
It is indeed a great pleasure to see that HNS Group has become one of the most highly reputed and esteemed companies in the automobile sector in Bangladesh. Starting in 1991 as an importer and distributor of Japanese motor vehicles, HNS is now regarded as the most reliable and trustworthy retail distributor of auto cars, SUVs, wagons, microbuses, pickups, trucks, buses, and more across Bangladesh.
Over time, the company has diversified its business into heavy-duty commercial vehicles, tires, industrial and construction equipment, etc. We take great pride in the fact that today Hyundai holds the leading position in the AC luxury bus segment throughout Bangladesh. To revolutionize the transportation sector and reduce the cost of CBU vehicles, we have established a factory — HNS Heavy Industries Ltd. We are planning to assemble luxury buses and minibuses locally by importing chassis from South Korea. This marks will make a significant milestone in the history of HNS.
All these achievements, while small in individual scale, are solid, determined, and well-planned steps toward making our country self-reliant in the automobile sector as a whole. Over the last 34 years, not only has our business volume increased manifold and our operations diversified, but we have also contributed significantly to the national economy. We firmly believe that we cannot thrive in isolation; our growth is intrinsically linked to the stability and progress of the country’s economy and political environment.
Currently, our companies employ over 600 personnel. All of this has been made possible through the cooperation of our foreign partners, the hard work and dedication of our employees, and, above all, the trust and support of our clients and well-wishers. Our efforts will continue, and with the cooperation of all stakeholders, we are striving toward our ultimate goal: establishing a state-of-the-art automobile manufacturing and assembly plant in Bangladesh.

About Us
The philosophy behind the establishment of HNS Group is to contribute to the socio-economic development of Bangladesh. HNS began as a trading house in 1991 and gradually maintained consistent growth through innovative thinking and the visionary leadership of Mohammed Shahidul Islam (Chairman). In addition to trading, by the end of 1992, HNS started importing and selling cars from Japan and progressively became the market leader in this sector by 1996. The foundation of our business lies in rapid growth, goodwill, and a reputation built through a highly dedicated and well-organized management team and excellent service.
Over time, the group has diversified its business into various sectors and continues to contribute to the socio-economic development of the country.
In addition to automobiles, HNS is the sole distributor of commercial vehicles from Hyundai Motor Company (HMC), Korea, for marketing their trucks, buses, and special vehicles in Bangladesh. HNS also represents Hyundai Xitesolution and Lonking warehouse & construction equipment from China. Furthermore, HNS markets Hankook tires in Bangladesh—Hankook being one of the fastest-growing tire companies in the world. HNS is also the exclusive agent for Liebherr tower cranes from both Liebherr Germany and Liebherr India.
